OVERVIEW :
This three-day tour takes you from Fez through the diverse landscapes of Morocco, beginning with the Middle Atlas Mountains, passing through Ifrane and the cedar forests of Azrou to see Barbary apes. Continuing via the scenic Ziz Gorges, you’ll witness the shift from lush valleys to desert terrain, reaching Merzouga. Here, you’ll enjoy a camel trek to a Berber camp in the Erg Chebbi dunes, experiencing traditional desert life. On the second day, the journey passes through the Todra Gorge and Dades Valley, known for its dramatic landscapes. The final day includes a visit to the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah and a scenic drive over the High Atlas Mountains, ending in Marrakech.

itinerary
Day 1: Fez – Ifrane – Midelt – Ziz Gorges – Erfoud – Rissani – Merzouga
We will pick you up from your riad/hotel and drive south through the Middle Atlas Mountains, passing through Ifrane and Azrou. Along the way, we’ll stop at the cedar forests to see the Barbarian Apes in their natural habitat. Traveling through the Tizi Ntalghamt pass to Midelt and along the stunning Ziz Gorges, carved through volcanic rock, you’ll witness the changing scenery as the desert starts to appear near Errachidia.
After lunch, we’ll continue through the Ziz Valley, passing Erfoud and Rissani, arriving in Merzouga. Upon arrival, you’ll enjoy a glass of mint tea before embarking on a camel ride into the Erg Chebbi Sad Dunes, the highest sand dunes in North Africa. The camel trek lasts around 1 hour and 30 minutes to the Berber camp, where we will spend the night in well-equipped tents. After dinner, we’ll gather around the fire and enjoy traditional Berber drums under the stars.
Day 2: Merzouga – Todra Gorge – Dades Valley
We will wake up early to watch the sunrise over the dunes before taking a camel ride back to the hotel. After breakfast and freshening up, we’ll head towards Tinghir and the stunning Todra Gorges, known for their dramatic rock formations. From there, we’ll continue to the Dades Valley, where we will have dinner and spend the night.
Day 3: Dades Valley – Skoura – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech
After breakfast, we will drive through the Dades Valley, along the route of a thousand Kasbahs, offering many photo opportunities. We’ll visit the Roses Valley and Skoura Village before heading to Ouarzazate, often called the “Hollywood of Africa.” After lunch at the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, the largest Kasbah in Morocco and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, we’ll travel through the impressive Tizi n’Tichka pass, which reaches an altitude of 2260 meters. Along the way, we’ll stop to admire the views and visit a local argan oil cooperative. We will arrive in Marrakech by late afternoon.
