OVERVIEW :

The 9-Day Grand Morocco Tour begins with your arrival in Marrakesh, followed by visits to Ait Ben Haddou, Ouarzazate, and the Dades Valley. You’ll journey through the Todra Gorges and into the Sahara Desert, where you’ll experience a camel ride and overnight stay in a Berber camp. After exploring the Ziz Valley and the Middle Atlas Mountains, you’ll visit the imperial city of Fes, Meknes, the Roman ruins of Volubilis, and the blue city of Chefchaouen. The tour continues to Tangier, Asilah, and Rabat, concluding with a visit to Casablanca before returning to Marrakesh.

Day 1: Arriving in Marrakesh

Transfer to your accommodation from the airport, depending on your arrival time.

Day 2: Marrakesh – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate

After breakfast in your riad, depart Marrakesh for Ouarzazate via Tizi n Tichka pass, enjoying the magnificent hills and mountains of the Atlas.

Take breaks for photos and an off-road visit to the Glaoui Kasbah in Telouet.

Walk through beautiful villages in the Atlas hills, then continue to the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

After lunch, proceed to Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Africa.” Optionally, visit film studios featuring props from movies like The Mummy, Gladiator, and The Last Temptation of Christ.

Visit Kasbah Taourirt before checking into your riad or hotel.

Day 3: Ouarzazate – Skoura – Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Erfoud – Sahara Desert

After breakfast, travel to the Todra Gorges via the palm grove of Skoura, crossing the Roses Valley and visiting Dades Valley.

Continue to Tinghir, then reach the Todra Gorges for lunch.Afterward, drive to Merzouga, passing through towns like Tinejdad, Touroug, and Erfoud, where you’ll see the ancient irrigation system known as “Khettarat.”Arrive at the fascinating Erg Chebbi dunes and switch from your vehicle to camels for a sunset ride.Enjoy dinner and an entertainment show on drums at the Berber camp, followed by an overnight stay in the Sahara Camp.

Day 4: Sahara Desert – Ziz Valley – Midelt – Azrou – Ifrane – Fez

After breakfast, leave via Rissani and stop at the local souk (market).

Continue through the vast Ziz Valley filled with millions of palm trees until Errachidia, then cross the Ziz gorges and the Middle Atlas Mountains with beautiful views.

Stop in Midelt for lunch, then head to Fez, crossing the cedar forest of Azrou and stopping for photos with Barbary monkeys.

Visit Ifrane, known as “small Switzerland of Morocco,” before arriving in Fez and checking into your riad.

Day 5: Visit Fez

In the morning, explore Fez’s main monuments and historical sites, including Medersa Bouaananiya and Karaouiyine University, the oldest Arabic university.

Day 6: Fez – Meknes – Volubilis – Chefchaouen

Depart early for Meknes, where you’ll enjoy magnificent views of the Medina.

Explore monumental gates like Bab Berdaine and Bab Khemis, stables, attics, and the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail.

Continue to the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, exploring the 2000-year-old site.

Move to Chefchaouen, the blue city, for an overnight stay.

Day 7: Chefchaouen – Tetouan – Tangier

After breakfast, enjoy free time to explore Chefchaouen until 12:30 PM.

Pass through Tetouan, with views of houses on the hills and the Rif Mountains, before arriving in Tangier for an overnight stay.

Day 8: Tangier – Asilah – Rabat – Casablanca

After breakfast, embark on a sightseeing tour of Tangier, visiting Cap Spartel, the impressive palace of the Sultan, the necropolis, and the Caves of Hercules.

Have free time in Asilah to explore its colorful streets and pick up souvenirs.

Drive to Rabat and visit the Kasbah of the Udayas, followed by Hassan II Tower and the remains of the old mosque.

Arrive in Casablanca in the late afternoon for dinner and overnight in the hotel.

Day 9: Casablanca – Marrakesh

After breakfast, take a guided tour of the impressive Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca.

Transfer back to Marrakesh, depending on your flight.
